Here in the Scarlet Gabriel Team, we are focusing on accountability this August and, therefore, we have highlighted this month as Accountability August in our calendars.

Being accountable for one’s actions means to truly own your life. You alone are responsible for your actions and reactions and you have it within you to achieve your goals and dreams.

However, even though we can look at ourselves as the CEO’s of our own lives, we are not alone in this beautiful journey of life. We are surrounded by people that love and care for us, whether they be lovers, colleagues, family, friends etc.

Therefore, teamwork is still dreamwork, so why don’t you get your dream team involved in helping you fulfill your dreams. Asking for help and support is not always a sign of ‘weakness’, but rather a sign of strength.

So let your friends, family or colleagues assist you in accomplishing your goals. Allow them to hold you accountable too. Meaning, allow them to encourage you along the way and to remind you of your goals and dreams and let them offer assistance and support.

There is strength in numbers and Adding, Allowing and Accepting Accountability assistance can create the A Team in your life.

As a performer, I cannot create an amazing spectacle alone, of course if I sing solo, but I can’t harmonise with myself, and having lighting, sound, a stage manager, a costume designer etc means a more varied experience. It also means that I can just focus on 1 thing – Being the best performer I can be.

Kiss My Confidence™

July is all about confidence. It’s summertime – time to be confident and let yourself shine!! Mind, body and Soul. Time to tap into that beautiful self-love of yours and celebrate the beautiful being that is you!!

Having confidence doesn’t mean that everything in your life is swimming along perfectly. Besides, what is perfect? To be confident doesn’t have to mean that your bank balance is healthy or that you are no longer in debt or that there are no troubles in your relationship or with your health etc. etc.

No, to be confident is to embrace self-acceptance.

Allow yourself to feel the easy ebb and flow of a summer breeze and to accept yourself in the present moment, to embrace all that you are and all the potential that you can become. Confidence is accepting that everything is exactly as it should be.

Go easy on yourself and be present.

Allow your confidence to shine and let you thrive through all of the stages that take you to completing your goals and beyond. You deserve every moment of your journey, so celebrate with confidence every step of the way.

Let July remind you that floating on the summer breeze can be a daily practice of bringing joy into your life and flowing through life’s up’s and down’s with constant confidence that you can ride the waves instead of resisting them.

Yes – we have goals and goals are important – they give us direction to grow and create beautiful abundance in our lives – but let us not forget that life is a journey, not a destination.

Therefore, we may be pursuing an end goal, but it is the journey to that goal that provides us with beautiful growth, life experience and infinite wisdom.

If you are not happy in the present moment, then you are not happy with life, as life is happening in the now. So, have the confidence to celebrate all that you are in this present moment, along with all that you will become as you grown and learn along the way.

June Dreaming

Now that we are officially halfway through the year, we can take note of where we are at with our goals for 2021 and whether or not we need to recharge or reset in order to still give ourselves the chance to accomplish our dreams and desires for 2021.

If we don’t take a step back periodically and become conscious of the true desires that fuel us, we can find ourselves quite quickly marching down the wrong path.

Summer time in the northern hemisphere fills us with light and lifts our spirits. Therefore, this is a great time to shine the light on the power of the stream of consciousness which is daydreaming.  

If we can dream it – we can achieve it!

Many of the most dynamic and innovative people in any profession –business, science, athletics, politics, the arts etc. are visionaries.

To manifest our dreams and desires into reality, we need to be able to envision them.

Dreaming is a beautiful way of manifesting or visualising. Through dreaming we give more positivity and energy into our desires and can alchemise them into reality.

Dreaming can aid creativity and problem-solving and help you realise and activate your full potential

Feel It. Believe it. Achieve it.

Daydreaming has incredible mental health and emotional benefits too. It allows us to let go and be free and to imagine a world which is beautiful and free. It has extremely powerful and nourishing effects for our soul and is a lovely stress reliever. As a performer I was literally raised to use my imagination and create alternate realities.

Life is but a Dream

We have the ability to choose what our life will be. We cannot always control what happens, but we can decide who we are, how we react, what we become, how we cope – how we dream.

My Honest Truth

🥺I’ve had a tough few years, I’ve lived my absolute highest highs AND some of my absolute lowest lows. I usually only talk about things AFTER the fact but, In the words of Richard Branson “Screw it just do it”. We’re still in a global pandemic so I, like most people I am still suffering in various ways.

🏝I’m an earthy person who likes good vibes, good people, nature, doing what I love 🎤🎭 and travelling this stunning planet. But the past few years have been a ball-ache, both personally and professionally…

😡Less than desirable colleagues/situations, family situations, relationship revelations, dream job loss (SIX), Black Lives Matters fallout (as a black female with a family of black people and black males!), sexism and abuse in the press (again as a female supporting abuse victims and dealing with domestic violence in my childhood), Growing Social Media demands, expectations, algorithms (give a small business a chance for F-sake and go away all you salesy not salesy coaches wanting to sell me your half ars*d work – no offence but I’ve been in this game for a decade not just jumped on it as the latest trend!) …. etc etc

🤓When the pandemic hit I tried to keep busy to ignore the worlds problems then I overdid it (classing Scarlet 🤣) I’m exhausted…. I mean I have residual exhaustion, I was exhausted 2 years ago and I still haven’t caught a break….

I’m frustrated, my freedom has been taken away, I should be on a beach in Mallorca, my happy place, I have residual emotions that I can’t even bare to deal with right now (I’m a certified life coach I know the drill, I’m in Acceptance Theory right now, I accept that I am choosing to ignore everything and everyone that I don’t want to deal with, I will, when I’m ready!)

🥰…. But I press on because I’ve created a world for myself that consists of what I love. (Performing and helping people) so when you see me post seemingly oblivious posts is doesn’t mean I’m not going through things. It just means that I don’t want to dwell in the land of negative, misery, I want to keep working behind the scenes to help this work be an even more amazing place. Positivity has its place, and I prefer to stay there and be a ray of light for others.

😎I’ve been working on myself for over 10 years so I have a huge toolbox of well-being/self help at my disposal, I’ve adopted and learnt many coping mechanisms, including paying for my own life coach (all the best athletes, stars, celebs, CEO’s understand the power of having a team/coaches in their back pocket to keep them at peak performance) … getting counselling, having therapy sessions, running my own Reality Cheque™️ and Doctors Orders™️ methodologies on myself (proven methods that have been transforming lives from 2014 and before!) … journaling, listening to motivational self help tapes, (my list truly is endless)…

General well-being prevents mental health issues, there I said it!

🥺…But it’s still important to say I acknowledge that if I’m struggling after a DECADE of self work, how must others be feeling?! I don’t need to ask I know, my DM’s have been full with young people expressing their pain, from suicidal thoughts to actual suicidal attempts, only last week I had an bolder woman tell me she wanted to kill herself because of the pandemic specifically. It’s all just a bit too much even for me

💪🏾So my mental health awareness week is about identifying how much I’m there for everyone else and not there enough for myself. Don’t get me wrong I could NEVER receive a cry for help and ignore it, but it takes it’s toll on me too, emotionally, spiritually, professionally. It hurts my heart deeply and I need my heart to do what I do and love – Perform and support people.

Ok I’m gonna leave it here, I could go on forever

✅So here’s a few things I’ll be doing

  • Turning off DM’s on Social Media, it’s 90% spam disguised as ‘important’
  • Regular walks in the park #nature always makes me feel better and calms the mind FACT!
  • Postponing less important tasks, meet-ups including requests on social media, podcasts, takeovers etc
  • Messaging close ones to tell them I can’t support them right now as I need to take a step back for my own mental health, but allocating a time slot if they need me #boundaries
  • Daily motivation tapes in the morning #abrahamhicks
  • Daily setting intentions and gratitude “today will be a great day because…” “I am grateful for….

🙌🏾This list is long cos I’m a pro at this (10 years practising remember) but for any of you who like the idea, pick 1 to start with and see how you go.

💖Be kind to yourself. NONE of us have ever been through a global pandemic therefore NONe of us that the answers (only smarties have those 😜)

If you want to do anything well, in any aspect of your life you need to have a good mindset

Mental health’ may be a popular topic in the media at the moment, but this does not mean it’s a fad!!

We function as Physical, Emotional, Mental and Energetic beings, therefore, none of these aspects can live in isolation, yet up until now, it has been the Physical body that society mainly focused on.

With this shift in society to a more holistic approach, Mental health is no longer isolated, and we can see what a crucial part Mental health plays in our lives.

Mindfulness allows us to consistently monitor our state of Mental health. The more we start to familiarise ourselves with our State of Mind, the more we can use the beauty that is our Mind, to enhance our daily lives in the most beautiful ways!

May is a good time to sit back and take a good look at your current mindset and see how it is either propelling you forward to achieve your goals/ dreams or whether it is holding you back!

Our ‘Mindset May’ Check-List is, therefore, a great opportunity to make a conscious effort to set aside some of your precious time and Mentally ‘check-in.’ Feel free to do this at the start of the month, weekly or even daily, whatever you feel you need or can handle 🙂

‘Mindset May’ Check-List:

  1. How am I feeling today?
  • Write down your feelings and thoughts
  • Whom do I trust to speak to so I can share what I am going through?
  • Did I get enough sleep last night?
  • Did I drink enough water?
  • Did I eat a healthy meal today?
  • Did I laugh today?
  • What am I thankful for?
  • Do something that makes you feel good.

Good Mental health begins with good Mental awareness.

Use May as a good time to raise your Mental awareness.

‘Action April’

‘Action April’

April is all about Action.

As we enter the 2nd quarter, April reminds us that we are nearing the halfway mark of the year, this allows us to consciously continue to activate the energy required to reach our mid-year goals from any New Year’s resolutions we may have set at the beginning of 2021.

April is all about activating the energy needed to propel us to take action towards our goals, so take the time to manifest and stay motivated this month to propel yourself forward.

April Activation Assessment:

It’s time to sit down and be honest with yourself on where you are at in terms of your goals. Grab a pen and paper and jot down some notes on the following questions:

  • Did you set any goals for this year? If so what? If not, how come?
  • Where are you at in terms of your goals?
  • Have you started on your Action plan or are you still planning on starting?
  • How much time have you spent on making your goals a reality thus far?
  • If you haven’t spent any time at all, it may be time to access why? We make time for what is important – so what fear is holding you back?
  • If fear isn’t holding you back, perhaps your goals have changed? Is it time to re-assess?
  • Perhaps you are on track and just need access that extra energy boost to get you through the quarterly energy drain?

And – of course – If you are on track – well done!!

May you maintain this momentum in April and put the various Actions in place this month to stay on track!!
